Via their Twitter account, Tito's owner Tito Beveridge states, "The discharge in question was wash water, which is just spillage off the bottling line and would be safe to pour down a regular kitchen sink. But, because we are not on the city's sewer line, the county informed us that we need to collect this waste so we have been working with the TCEQ on a new recycling system and are already back in compliance, as we have been since 1995." more ›

Tito to Host Fancy Vodka-Inspired Dinner at Z Tejas

The five-course meal starts off with hand-cut farmer's market gazpacho and scallop ceviche, paired with a "Golden Mary" (yellow tomato juice instead of red). From there, it's a slow descent into depraved decadence, with the main courses including pan-seared black drum, crispy chile-crusted duck breast, and pork carnitas—accompanying drinks will incorporate everything from agave nectar and while Texas guajillo honey syrup to housemade bitters and habanero gastrique. It all finishes with a chocolate bread pudding with Blue Bell ice cream alongside a chilled "drinking" chocolate spiked with Tito's, which they're calling Montezuma's Reverie. more ›
