Pointing Out The Obvious: Four Reasons Why Austin Needs A Major League Soccer Team

American Soccer has been a traditionally fluxing industry, you had the explosion of popularity (and subsequent recession) in the late ‘60s, you had the Women’s successful World Cup campaign in 1999 that made Mia Hamm a celebrity, as well as this year’s near-championship that made a lot of young boys fall in love with Hope Solo, and of course, there’s the men’s national team whose presence has been felt as a regular in World Cup competition, their 2002 quarterfinal appearance reinvigorating the MLS as a whole. Enjoy, but beware: there's more curse words in there than a truck stop diner. more ›
