- But The Security Cameras Are Upon You: During the summer, someone broke into the Texas A&M football complex, stole equipment and left behind the message "The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You" written in athletic tape. Days later, surveillance tapes showed it was an inside job and that someone connected to A&M entered the facility via a keypad entry code. Campus police declined to press charges.
- Ding Dongs: Maybe there's nothing to read into four Aggie yell leaders singing and dancing in their car to The Ding Dong Song ("You touch my tralala", they croon.) But we say boys, let your yell leader flag fly.
- Remember, Rocky loses: Trying to stir up some emotion, Aggies coach Mike Sherman reached back to a movie made 10 years before most of his players were born. “This is Rocky Balboa vs. Apollo Creed," Sherman said. Fine, but remember, in that first movie, Apollo kicks Rocky's ass.
